This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds and related issues are handled for events and registrations made through BYND8.
BYND8 helps people discover and register for dance events hosted by independent organizers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the organizer shown on an event page is responsible for conducting that event and determining the event-specific cancellation and refund terms, subject to applicable law and BYND8's policies.
By registering for or purchasing entry to an event through BYND8, you agree to this Cancellation & Refund Policy together with the applicable event information and any event-specific terms displayed before purchase.
01Free events
No payment is collected for a free registration, so no monetary refund applies.
If you can no longer attend a free event, you should cancel or release your registration where that functionality is available. This can help make limited-capacity spots available to others.
If a free event is cancelled, participants may be notified using the contact information associated with their BYND8 account or registration.
02Paid events
Refund eligibility for a paid event may depend on the cancellation/refund terms specified by the event organizer and displayed or communicated for that event.
Before completing a paid registration, please review the event details, including the event date, category, price and any applicable cancellation terms.
Unless otherwise stated for the event or required by applicable law, a change in the participant's personal plans or inability to attend does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.
03Cancellation by the participant
If you decide not to attend an event after completing a paid registration, your eligibility for a refund will depend on the cancellation terms applicable to that event.
Where participant cancellations are permitted, the applicable refund amount, cancellation deadline or other conditions should be shown or communicated for that event.
Where an event is stated to be non-refundable, a refund may not be available solely because the participant is unable or chooses not to attend.
This does not affect any rights available under applicable law.
04Cancellation by the organizer
If an organizer cancels an event, affected paid registrations will generally be eligible for a refund of the amount paid for the cancelled event, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the cancellation.
BYND8 and/or the organizer may contact registered participants with information about the cancellation and the applicable refund process.
The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the participant's original payment method may depend on the payment provider, bank, card network or payment method involved.
05Postponed or rescheduled events
An organizer may occasionally postpone or reschedule an event.
If an event is rescheduled, an existing registration may remain valid for the new date unless otherwise communicated.
Where a refund option is provided for a rescheduled event, participants must request the refund within the timeframe communicated for that event.
The applicable options may depend on the circumstances of the event and the organizer's published terms, subject to applicable law.
06Changes to an event
Organizers may occasionally make reasonable changes to event details, such as schedule, venue, format, lineup, judges, instructors, categories or other operational details.
A minor or reasonable change does not necessarily mean that an event has been cancelled or that every registration automatically becomes refundable.
Where a material change significantly affects the event for which a participant registered, BYND8 and/or the organizer may communicate the available options to affected participants.
Any statutory rights available to participants remain unaffected.
07Competition and category registrations
For competition-based events, participants are responsible for selecting the correct category and reviewing the applicable requirements before completing registration.
Examples may include:
- dance style;
- solo or team format;
- age or eligibility requirements;
- team size;
- category rules; and
- event-specific participation requirements.
A mistaken category selection does not automatically guarantee a refund.
If you identify an error shortly after registration, contact BYND8 or the organizer as soon as possible. Whether the registration can be changed, transferred or refunded will depend on the event circumstances and applicable terms.
08Audience passes
Where an event offers audience or spectator passes, the cancellation and refund conditions shown for that event apply to those passes.
Unless otherwise stated or required by law, failure to attend after purchasing an audience pass does not automatically entitle the purchaser to a refund.
09Duplicate or incorrect payments
If you believe you have been charged more than once for the same registration, or that an incorrect amount has been charged, contact BYND8 with the relevant registration and transaction details.
We will review the payment records and, where an unintended duplicate or incorrect charge is confirmed, take appropriate steps to resolve it.
Do not share full card numbers, UPI PINs, OTPs, passwords or other sensitive authentication credentials when contacting BYND8.
10Payment deducted but registration not confirmed
In some cases, a payment may appear to have been deducted even though the registration has not immediately been confirmed.
This can happen when confirmation from the payment system is delayed or the transaction remains pending.
If this occurs:
- do not immediately make repeated payments for the same registration unless instructed to do so;
- check your BYND8 registration/ticket status where available; and
- contact BYND8 if the status remains unresolved.
BYND8 will use available transaction information to determine whether the payment succeeded, failed or remains pending.
If payment was collected but the corresponding registration cannot be completed, the transaction will be handled appropriately, including a refund where applicable.
11Failed payments
If a payment fails and BYND8 does not receive the payment, no paid registration will be considered confirmed solely because the payment attempt was initiated.
Your bank or payment provider may temporarily show an authorization or debit for a failed transaction. Reversal timing in such cases is generally determined by the relevant bank or payment provider.
12Refund method
Where a monetary refund is approved, it will generally be returned through the original payment method where technically possible.
Refund processing and credit timelines may vary depending on the payment method, bank, card network and payment provider.
BYND8 cannot guarantee the exact date on which a bank or payment provider will reflect an approved refund after it has been processed.
13Platform and payment fees
Where a registration includes separately disclosed platform, convenience, processing or similar charges, the refund treatment of those charges will be communicated as applicable to the transaction and subject to applicable law.
BYND8 will not introduce undisclosed charges after a participant has completed a purchase.
The total amount payable should be presented before payment confirmation.
14Transfers and substitutions
The ability to transfer a registration or replace a registered participant may vary by event and category.
Do not assume that a ticket or competition registration can be transferred to another person unless the event permits it.
Where transfers are supported, the organizer or BYND8 may require the participant information to be updated before the event.
15Event capacity and registration holds
Adding a category or registration to a temporary registration flow does not necessarily guarantee a confirmed place.
For limited-capacity events, a place is confirmed only when the registration process has been successfully completed and BYND8 displays or sends confirmation.
If a temporary reservation or registration hold expires before the required steps are completed, the spot may become available to another participant.
If payment was nevertheless successfully collected in connection with an expired or unsuccessful registration, contact BYND8 so that the transaction can be reviewed.
16Check-in and non-attendance
Participants are responsible for arriving in accordance with the event's announced schedule and presenting any required ticket, QR code, registration code or identification.
Failure to attend, arriving after an event or category has closed, or failing to satisfy clearly communicated participation requirements does not automatically create a right to a refund, except where otherwise stated or required by applicable law.
17Organizer responsibility
Events available through BYND8 may be created and conducted by independent organizers.
The organizer is generally responsible for matters relating to the conduct of the event itself, including event programming, venue arrangements, scheduling, participation requirements and event-specific cancellation decisions.
BYND8 provides technology and services that facilitate event discovery, registration, payments where applicable, ticketing and related event operations.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit responsibilities that BYND8 or an organizer may have under applicable law.
18Exceptional circumstances
BYND8 and/or the organizer may consider exceptional situations individually, including circumstances involving:
- event cancellation;
- material event changes;
- duplicate charges;
- confirmed technical errors;
- payment/registration mismatches;
- circumstances where a refund is required by applicable law; or
- other situations where a refund is considered appropriate.
Approval in one exceptional case does not automatically establish the same outcome for every event or registration.
19Refund abuse and fraudulent activity
BYND8 may investigate refund requests associated with suspected fraud, payment abuse, manipulated registrations, misuse of tickets or other suspicious activity.
Nothing in this section prevents a user from exercising legitimate rights under applicable law or raising a genuine payment dispute.
20How to request help
If you have a cancellation, payment or refund issue, contact:
BYND8 Support

When contacting us, provide:
- your name;

- a short description of the issue.
Never send your UPI PIN, OTP, password, full card number or other sensitive authentication information.
21Processing of refund requests
Where a refund requires organizer confirmation or investigation of a payment transaction, BYND8 may need reasonable time to verify the circumstances before approving or processing the request.
Once a refund has been initiated, the time required for the funds to appear in your account may depend on the payment method and financial institution.
22Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe a payment was unauthorized or there is a genuine unresolved payment issue, please contact BYND8 so that we can investigate.
Nothing in this policy prevents you from exercising any rights available through your bank, payment provider or applicable law.
Submitting false or fraudulent payment disputes may result in restrictions on the relevant BYND8 account where permitted by law.
23Changes to this policy
BYND8 may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the product, payment processes, legal requirements or operating practices.
The latest version will be published on the BYND8 website together with its effective or last-updated date.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
